Melanie Boël
Lecturer and teaching assistant in ecophysiology
Using an eco-physiological, integrative and comparative approach, my research aims to highlight the physiological and behavioral mechanisms involved in performance, adaptive capacities and, ultimately, in trade-offs between organisms' life-history traits.
Currently, I am investigating the effects of nanoplastic ingestion on physiology and behavior of Drosophila melanogaster. I am also studying the behavioral and physiological strategies of thermoregulation of African pigmy mouse Mus mattheyi.
